We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Corrections Psychologist to join our team on a 26-week contract. The selected candidate will provide psychological services to inmates in a correctional facility, focusing on mental health assessments, counseling, and rehabilitation programs. This role is essential in promoting mental well-being and fostering positive behavioral changes among the inmate population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of inmates.
- Develop and implement individual and group therapy programs.
- Provide crisis intervention and management.
- Collaborate with correctional staff to address inmates’ mental health needs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all clinical activities.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
- Educate inmates on coping strategies and mental health resources.
- Monitor and document progress of treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Psychologist in the state of Wisconsin.
- Experience in forensic or correctional psychology preferred.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a challenging environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
